What's actually in a shawarma spread?

Every spread comes with both beef and chicken shawarma, saffron rice, fresh salad, hummus, falafel, pita, and our house sauces. Disposable serving ware is included, so you can set it out and go. It's a complete meal, not just the meat, and it covers most guests' tastes without you having to add anything.

How is the shawarma prepared, and is it halal?

All of our beef and chicken has been halal since the day we opened. We cook the shawarma the traditional way and shave it fresh for your order, then pack it hot alongside the saffron rice, hummus, falafel, salad, pita, and house sauces. It is the same Mediterranean shawarma we serve in the restaurant, just sized for your event.

Is the shawarma cooked fresh, or pre-made and reheated?

It's made for your order, not pulled off a shelf. We shave and pack the shawarma fresh, then deliver it hot so it's ready to serve. For a standard drop-off we ask for about 48 hours' notice, which is what lets us prep everything fresh for your headcount.

Do you carve the shawarma on site at the event?

Accepted Answer

No, we don't bring a carving setup to your venue. We prepare and shave the shawarma at our kitchen and deliver it hot and ready to serve in trays, with disposable serving ware included. If you want hands-on help at the event itself, we offer full-service staffed servers for groups of 50 or more — quoted per event.

Should I get tray bundles or individually-boxed lunches?

Accepted Answer

Trays are the move for a buffet-style spread where guests serve themselves: Small Spread is $399 (feeds 15), Office Spread $599 (feeds 25), Full Spread $1,199 (feeds 50), and Grand Spread $1,999 (feeds 100), which works out to roughly $19.99 to $26.60 per person, with the per-person cost dropping as the group grows. If you'd rather hand each person their own sealed meal, we do individually-boxed single-person lunches at $21 to $28 per person with a 15-box minimum. Either way, à-la-carte trays can be added and priced per tray in your quote.

How many people does a shawarma spread feed, and how do I size it?

Accepted Answer

Our tray bundles are built around headcount: Small Spread feeds 15, Office Spread feeds 25, Full Spread feeds 50, and Grand Spread feeds 100. Pick the one closest to your guest count, and if you're between sizes or want extra of any one item, we can add à-la-carte trays to your quote. Tell us your number on the quote form and we'll size it for you.

Can one shawarma order cover vegans and gluten-free guests too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Alongside the beef and chicken, every spread already includes falafel, hummus, saffron rice, and salad, and we have a full vegan menu plus gluten-free-friendly builds over rice with no pita. We do want to be upfront that our kitchen is shared, so we're gluten-free-friendly rather than certified gluten-free. Let us know your dietary needs on the quote and we'll make sure those guests are covered.

What about leftovers, delivery, and ongoing orders?

Spreads come in trays with disposable serving ware, so leftovers are easy to cover and set aside after the event. Delivery is free within 5 miles, $30 for 5 to 15 miles, $50 for 16 to 40 miles, and $60 beyond that across San Diego County, including the Sorrento Valley, Torrey Pines, University City (UTC) corridor, and Downtown, or you can pick up free at 4884 Newport Ave in Ocean Beach. If you feed a crew regularly, we do standing orders on any cadence, weekly, biweekly, or monthly, with Net-30 invoicing for established business accounts.
