Feeding the same team every week shouldn’t mean re-planning lunch every Monday. A standing order from Shawarma House puts office lunch on the calendar and takes it off your plate: pick a cadence — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — choose boxed lunches or a shared shawarma spread, and lock your per-person price for 90 days. We’re a family-owned Iraqi-Mediterranean restaurant in Ocean Beach with 4.7 stars across 650+ Google reviews, and we deliver across San Diego County.

This page is about the recurring program — standing orders, the price lock, Net-30, and how to keep a repeat lunch from getting stale. If you’re planning a one-time office lunch or a single event, start with our office lunch catering page instead.

Ready to put lunch on autopilot? Request a quote with your cadence and headcount in the notes, or call (619) 642-0298 — the catering line is staffed Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm, and a human picks up.

How much does weekly office lunch catering cost in San Diego?

A standing office lunch runs $19.99–$28 per person, depending on format and headcount, and that per-person number is locked for 90 days once you set up a standing order. Individually boxed lunches are $21–$28 per person with a 15-box minimum. For a common 25-person office, the current Office Spread is $599; use the catering hub’s current package list for every other headcount. The number you see in week one is the number you pay in week twelve, with no mid-quarter surprises and no fuel or ingredient surcharges added mid-lock.

How does a standing lunch order actually work?

A standing order is a repeat delivery slot on our kitchen calendar, set up once over a phone call or quote-form note and then run on autopilot. You choose the cadence — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — tell us the day and the headcount, and pick boxed lunches or a shared spread for that delivery. Each cadence gets the same 90-day per-person price lock, so office lunch stops being a weekly decision and becomes a standing appointment your team can count on.

Because pricing is per person, your headcount can flex from delivery to delivery. Ten people out at a conference next week? Tell us your number ahead of the drop-off and the order adjusts. Boxed-lunch deliveries keep the 15-box minimum; shared spreads are sized by the package you choose. If your team’s rhythm changes — you add a second office, or move from weekly to biweekly — just call and we’ll adjust the standing order from there.

Boxed or buffet — pick per delivery

Every delivery can go one of two ways, and you can alternate between them:

Individually boxed lunches run $21–$28 per person with a 15-box minimum. Each box is individually packaged, lidded, and labeled — the right call when people eat at their desks, when diets are strict, or when nobody wants to manage a serving line. Full details are on our boxed lunch catering page.

Shared spreads are the family-style option: beef and chicken shawarma, saffron rice, salad, hummus, falafel, pita, and house sauces, with disposable ware included. They’re the better fit when the team actually sits down together, and they work out to roughly $19.99–$26.60 per person depending on the package.

Plenty of teams switch between the two — boxed on a heads-down week, a spread when the whole crew is in the office. Just tell us which format you want for a given delivery.

Choose a package by headcount

Use the current package sizes and prices on our catering hub, then tell us whether this week’s team is better served by boxes or a shared spread. Every spread includes beef and chicken shawarma, saffron rice, salad, hummus, falafel, pita, house sauces, and disposable ware. For larger gatherings, staffed service is available — we’ll quote it with your order; please give us 5+ days’ notice.

Building a corporate lunch program, not just a single order

A corporate lunch program is really just a standing order applied across a whole team, a whole floor, or a rotation of offices — the mechanics don’t change, only the scale. If you’re standardizing lunch for one office, this page’s standing-order setup is the whole program: cadence, headcount, format, price lock. If you’re coordinating a recurring order across several teams or a multi-site rotation, the same 90-day price lock and Net-30 terms apply per delivery — call and we’ll walk through how the cadence and billing work for your setup. Reps managing lunch across multiple stops on a territory should see our medical rep catering page, which covers standing orders built around a rep’s schedule.

Keeping week six from tasting like week one

The quiet killer of any recurring lunch is boredom, and the fix is variety you don’t have to invent. Our catering menu is broad enough to change things up without changing caterers: alternate boxed and buffet formats, and add à-la-carte trays — Greek, Fattoush, Tabouli, or Iraqi salads, extra hummus, tzatziki, or yellow rice — from our catering trays when you want a delivery to feel different. New to the food itself? Our what-is-shawarma guide is a good primer to circulate before the first delivery.

Mixed-diet teams, one order

A recurring order only works if it feeds everyone, every time. All of our beef and chicken has been halal-sourced since the day we opened — halal meat served, on every delivery. The vegan lineup is real food, not an afterthought: falafel, vegan shawarma, vegan cream chop, hummus, tabouli, and fattoush salad, with vegan house sauces (toum, tahini, and hot sauce). Gluten-free-friendly teammates can build over saffron rice without pita.

Two things to flag when you set up the order: tahini contains sesame, and our hummus contains tahini. And we’re a shared kitchen — cross-contact is always possible, so we can’t guarantee any item for severe allergies. Tell us about allergies up front and we’ll walk through the order together.

Delivery bands and where we cover

We deliver countywide from Ocean Beach on a distance-based schedule: free within 5 miles, $30 for 5–15 miles, $50 for 16–40 miles, and $60 beyond that — most of the county is a standard delivery fee away, not a special trip. Three corridors we hear from often on standing orders:

Wherever your office sits in the county, the standing-order mechanics on this page — cadence, price lock, Net-30 — work the same way; the only thing that changes by area is which delivery-fee band you land in.

Frequently asked questions

How much does weekly office lunch catering cost in San Diego?

Standing office lunch runs $19.99–$28 per person depending on format. Boxed lunches are $21–$28 per person (15-box minimum), and a common 25-person Office Spread is $599. Current prices for every headcount are kept on our catering hub. Whatever number you land on, it’s locked for 90 days once you set up a standing order.

What is the 90-day price lock?

When you set up a standing weekly, biweekly, or monthly order, your per-person price is locked for 90 days — no mid-quarter surprises on your lunch budget.

Can we change our headcount between deliveries?

Yes — standing orders are priced per person, so the count can flex from delivery to delivery. Just tell us your number ahead of each drop-off. Boxed-lunch deliveries keep the 15-box minimum.

Do you offer Net-30 billing?

Yes — Net-30 is available for established business accounts. Mention it when you set up your order. We do not offer tax-exempt billing.

Our team has halal, vegan, and gluten-free eaters. Can one order cover everyone?

Yes. All of our beef and chicken has been halal-sourced since we opened — halal meat served on every delivery. Vegan options include falafel, vegan shawarma, vegan cream chop, hummus, tabouli, and fattoush salad, with vegan toum, tahini, and hot sauce. Gluten-free-friendly teammates can build over saffron rice without pita. Tahini contains sesame, and our hummus contains tahini. We’re a shared kitchen — cross-contact is always possible, so we can’t guarantee any item for severe allergies. Flag allergies when you set up the order and we’ll plan around them together.

Should we pick boxed lunches or a buffet spread?

Boxed lunches ($21–$28 per person, lidded and labeled, 15-box minimum) win when people eat at their desks or diets are strict. A shared spread wins when the team eats together; choose the current size from our catering hub. Many teams alternate between the two.

What are the delivery fees and how much notice do you need?

Delivery is free within 5 miles, $30 for 5–15 miles, $50 for 16–40 miles, and $60 beyond that, anywhere in San Diego County; pickup at our Ocean Beach shop is free. Standard notice is about 48 hours per delivery — a standing order is already on the calendar, so this mostly matters when something changes.

Do you cover Sorrento Valley, UTC, Carmel Valley, and Downtown offices?

Yes — we deliver countywide on the same distance bands from our Ocean Beach kitchen — free within 5 miles, then $30/$50/$60 as the miles add up. See our Sorrento Valley & Torrey Pines, UTC & Carmel Valley, and Downtown San Diego catering pages for area-specific delivery details.
